She's A Fucking Nightmare

Sun Sep 13, 2009, 1:07 AM
  • Listening to: Blink 182
  • Reading: The Samurai's Garden by Tsukiyama
  • Drinking: cranberry juice
GODDAMN THE BLINK 182 CONCERT WAS AMAZING.

Well, to be specific:

Chester French was so terrible my friend Emma and I didn't even bother moving from the bench where we were sitting outside the amphitheater. Honestly, could you find someone more terrible to open the show? Geez.

Taking Back Sunday sucked, just like they did when we saw them at Projekt Revolution two years ago. They sound like shit live. If you're planning on going to see them, just don't. Really. Don't.

Weezer sounded awesome, despite some tuning difficulties at the beginning of "Say It Ain't So." I really hate their new shit, so it bored me to death when they played it ("Beverly Hills," "Pork and Beans," etc.). But they played their old stuff extremely well, including my favorites, "Buddy Holly," "My Name is Jonas," and "Hash Pipe."

Blink 182 was so fucking amazing man. They opened with "Dumpweed," closed with "Damnit," my two favorite Blink songs. They played all their classics and I'm still hoarse from screaming and singing along. The breaks between songs were punctuated by dirty banter such as, "I want to give you a bubble bath," "I'll blow your dad for five bucks," and, my personal favorite, "I'm gonna go down on Oprah," to which Emma replied, "She deserves it." Hahaha I love her. Everything was fucking rad, and for the solo, they had Travis on this levitating platform that floated like super high into the air, then turned vertically and spun around. It was so great.

Damn good night, I tell you. Damn good night.

My name is Celeste Andrea. I went to college early, but I'm not so sure that this means I'm intelligent. Life is the most confusing, sickening thing. The goals and aims are unsure, and I seem to be so entangled in them.

I read A Weak Heart when I was in high school and it took me like 3 years to realize that it was the same guy who did Crime and Punishment. I was like whoa Russian name, crazy talk, ignore. Then, out of nowhere..damn it.

It's nobody's business what's in my cup, what's in your cup, what's in their cup. It's your cup, drink it. Fuck you, and whatever was in my cup, I'm going to keep drinking it. Suck my dick, and my cup. - Lil Wayne

Dostoevsky blows my mind. It's always like, "Why the hell am I reading this?" All of his characters are either total dicks, insane, or a combination of the two. And the plots are always really depressing. Haha, I'm not sure why I have such an obsession. It's the same way with Sartre. Everything is so strange and rather improbable and extremely difficult to grasp.
:iconroyalocean:
Probably the same reason I'm so obsessed with Kerouac. There's just no real reason or explanation other than I just am haha. But yeah, I can't say I was the biggest fan of Dostoevsky the first time I read some of his work but it kind of grew on me.

God, Kerouac is fucking insane. He blows my mind and makes me feel kind of dirty at the same time. And I know, Taking Back Sunday sounds deceptively good on television. The only one who sings well is the background guy, but he's, ya know, like in the background.
:iconroyalocean:
I know right. And some times he pisses me off because I'm like WHY THE FUCK CAN'T YOU JUST ADD A LITTLE TINY BIT OF GRAMMAR SO I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN.

And yeah..I saw them at a bar here a couple years ago. My face looked just like this ): the whole time.
